Case study: sales automation

Every new stockist onboarded as well as the first one

Bringing on a stockist is a sales process and a teaching process at once. HPCR designed both, then built them as an automated onboarding and education sequence that runs for every new stockist.

01

The problem

A stockist who signs up but never learns the products sells none of them. Onboarding done personally works for the first few stockists and then stops scaling: the quality of each new stockist's start depends on who had time that week, and a national network cannot be grown one personal induction at a time.
02

What HPCR identified

The client needed more than automation; it needed the sales process itself designed. HPCR designed how a new stockist should be brought on, what they should learn about the products, in what order, and how the business should follow their progress, with minimal instruction needed from the client. The automation is the delivery mechanism for that design.
03

What HPCR built

An automated stockist onboarding and education sequence connected to the client's HubSpot CRM. When a new stockist joins, the sequence introduces the products, the positioning against familiar alternatives and the practical knowledge that helps them sell, delivered in stages rather than a single information dump.
Beneath it sit the custom forms and workflows that keep the CRM clean: enrolment is triggered and tracked automatically, and each stockist's progress through the sequence is recorded against their company record.

How it connects

The sequence is the bridge between winning a stockist and that stockist producing sales. Its engagement data flows into the CRM, where the reporting platform gives management a view of onboarding across the network, alongside pipeline and sales activity. The stockist who completes the sequence is the same stockist the locator sends customers to.

What changed

Every new stockist now receives the same designed onboarding, automatically, regardless of how busy the team is. The education a stockist needs in their first weeks arrives on schedule, and management can see engagement rather than assume it. The sequence runs without ongoing effort from the client.
